TEMPEL Flag Flies High
Challenging the Limits at the Himalayan Mountain Range, Sandekphu.
It was a great moment of excitement to see our Tempel Flag flying high at an altitude of 11,900 feet at Himalayan Range of Mountains, Sandakphu and Phalut Summits.
Our Tempel Chennai team with Sethu Madhavan, Jayendran, Jwala Sateesh, TR Saravanan and Mercy completed the 7-day trek successfully. Any high-altitude trek poses a mental and physical challenge. We started a training regime 3 months prior to the trek date and all the preparations were in place for improving endurance, core strength, body balance in addition to breath training and meditation to make us stronger physically and mentally. The trek included low temperature zones where temperatures were as low as -5deg C and this weather combined with heavy winds was very demanding on our body and mind. This weather added the thrill to the overall trek experience. It was indeed a proud moment to see our Tempel trekkers themselves- challenging their limits and raising Tempel flag atop Sandakphu summit!
