Dr. Erik Hilinski to Speak on Innovative Electrical Steel Production Methods at EDPC Conference

Erik Hilinski, Ph.D., senior director, technology for Tempel and globally recognized expert in the physical metallurgy of electrical steels, will speak about innovative production methods for laminations at the 6th International Electric Drives Production Conference and Exhibition (EDPC) 2016 on Thursday, December 1 in Nuremberg, Germany.

Dr. Hilinski directs Tempel’s worldwide steel evaluation, material application and technology efforts and is the author of numerous published white papers and articles on the topic of steel magnetic performance. During his presentation called “Straightener Effects on Steel Magnetic Properties During the Lamination Stamping Process,” Dr. Hilinski will present data about what effect the electrical steel roller straightening process before Stamping has on steel magnetic performance - especially on thin gauge steels.

The EDPC brings together the world’s leading researchers, product developers, production experts, purchasers and potential users of electric drives. The focus of the conference is on the presentation of highly innovative products from various industries, as well as manufacturing processes and strategies.
